All About our Sweet P

All About Paislyn
Here are some little quirks and things that sweet P does.

  • Her hands/arms NEVER stop moving—even in her sleep they are waving/flopping around.  I am now convinced this is what I was ALWAYS feeling when I was pregnant with her.
  • If her hands aren’t flying around, they are scrunched up in tight fists right beside her cheeks (it is the cutest thing)
  • She sleeps with her hands balled up beside her face or palms spread open on her face (such diva poses) J
  • Her cheeks are filling out and getting really chunky now-so cute!
  • She does not like to lay in your arms—she likes to be sitting up so she can check everything out-she is a busy one and always observing.
  • She has the highest pitched cry! OMG!
  • She is a LOUD diaper-filler….really embarrassed to take her to church because of this! J
  • She LOVES LOVES LOVES her swing (actually it is Grams swing) and will lay there so content and SLEEP (I know we are going to regret this, but this is how we get her to sleep at night.  We have been letting her fall asleep in there and then trying to move her back to her basinnet though so she is on the monitor.  In the swing, I have to WAKE her for her feedings after several hours…in the bed she will wake up before her 3 hours are up.)
  • She is becoming more adorable each and every day. (Just ask her daddy! :))
  • She is comforted by making a “Shhh-ing” sound.  Her daddy started this with her the minute she was born and it seems to work every time.
  • Loves her "paci"...she refused to take it in the hospital but has loved it since we came home--she had such a hard time holding it in though and would immediately scream the minute she spit it out....all the research N and I had done went down the drain when my aunt bought her one from WM that had a shape that allowed it to be held in better...what a relief it has been!
  • More wasted money--the swaddlers!  SHe refuses to have her hands/arms swaddled down...we swaddled her the first 3 weeks (leaving her arms out)-now we just tuck a blanket around her and she is happy.
  • Is finally in her Newborn diapers--had to buy preemie ones for the first 2 weeks since she was soo small.
  • Likes bath time for the first minute or two (I think she still gets in shock as her eyes get real wide and she just stares) but then screams through the rest of it.
