Well since no one knows that we are pregnant yet, we have had many little laughs about "our little secret" over the past few weeks. We have had a few family gatherings since we have known and have seemed to get "the question" even more than normal. Every time before we would get out of the car at our desination we would have to remind each other to be careful what we say and think of ways to cover if something did come out. (Because at home or in the car we talked openly about all thinngs baby, but had to immediately be careful around others.)
The following are some of the many comments we have heard over the past few weeks and have had to "lie" about:
When are y'all going to have one (a baby)?
Here, try this new wine.
WHat are y'all waiting on (to have a baby)?
Y'all are such party-poopers...just come to Greeks with us.
So, when do y'all want a baby?
I had a dream about you and you were pregnant......
Y'all need a baby already. (You get it-over and over again, all the while smiling on the inside because the joke is on them as there is a little one already growing inside this belly!!!)
I am a HORRIBLE liar! Nathan knows this all too well...if I am even joking around and give him an opposite answer to a question, I start smiling and can't look at him. Because of this he is just sure I am going to spill it. He already told me if someone says something just to let him cover for me and for me to just sit there quietly...he also said "watch your facial expressions" so as to not give it away.
So....to all of you that asked us any of the above questions or made any comments, little did you know but this baby has been growing all the while you were wanting to know when we would ever make a baby. The secret is finally out!
