New Year's Eve/Last Christmas Celebration

On New Years Eve we headed to my Uncles for the Popp Family Christmas.  After mommy and daddy had quite the time deciding what Miss Thing should wear (I had the perfect CUTE outfit picked out but daddy swore it was entirely too HOT for it and picked something else out—I gave in J)  we headed out the door.  When we arrived I took her out of her car seat because she was crying.  She usually freaks out when we get places where there a lot of people and cries (rather screams) for the first 5-10 minutes of us being there….thinking she is like her momma and has a little anxiety and does not adapt well to change.  She continued crying and I went in to change her diaper.  Well I felt my arm was wet when I pulled her away and we discovered that not only was it wet, but she had a major diaper blow-out (and we never heard her or smelt her—very strange for her).  So needless to say she did not last 5 minutes of being there in that outfit.  So in we went to outfit #2 and mommy’s second choice (while Mommy had some poop on her white shirt for the night-I never think about extra clothes for N and I). J  (Hey—I pack the bagsJ).  Paislyn also got to spend some time “playing” with her other new cousin Brody—he is about 2.5 months older than her.  We had a great evening and P got another book, some cute socks, a toy, and Sophie the Giraffe teething toy—boy is this already useful.  I think this girl is really working on cutting some teeth in the near future—she drools even more than usual lately and EVERYTHING goes in her mouth—the paci does not cut it anymore--the fingers and the fist is her preference these days.  We ended up leaving around 10:20 ish…I did not want us out on the road when all the other crazies would be out so we wanted to get home early.  N drove really cautiously and safe.  We got home and fed baby girl and then I held her until midnight until we could kiss her and tell her Happy New Year and then we put her down and crashed right after that! LOL!!

P & Brody playing (he is crying but this was one of the best pics. I got of the 2 of them)

MeMaw

A rare pic--she NEVER lays this still --it was a kodak moment, for sure!

This was Miss Thing right before we left my Uncles..it was her version of ringing in the New Year!

Last year we did not do anything for NYE either as I was not feeling well—little did we know that the reason I had been sick was that I had just conceived our first baby over the Christmas holidays—this year was low key and cautious since we have our darling little diva.  We would not have wanted it any other way.
