I (unfortunately) had to go back to work last Wednesday (11/2) so I wanted to take her to her school for a few hours on Tuesday to give me a tiny adjustment period before she is away from me ALL day on Wednesday…she has only been with me ALL day EVERY day for the past 6 ½ weeks. Well I did it—through tears and all. It was hard leaving her but it wasn’t bad as I thought because I knew I was just going to stay in town, run a few errands, then hurry back to get her. Well I was crying before I ever left the house. I met my mom for lunch (crying & treated myself to a Dr. Pepper J Still no caffeine as I am providing all her nourishment and nutrients), ran to HEB to buy groceries, took them home and unloaded them (called the school to check on her J), went to my moms work to print her pictures, then went back to get her. J I was soo happy to get her. We came home and enjoyed our last part of my maternity leave together!
The evening was busy as I had to make sure I had everything ready for her at school, as well as have everything packed that I would need for school (including bottles and all my pumping supplies as I am pumping during my lunch and conference period to provide her bottles for the next day). We made it though and I was dreading what the next day would bring. Getting ready for a short practice run at school.
