2 months

Saturday our little munchkin turned 2 months old…L  Thursday she had her 2 month check-up.  She is still doing GREAT and growing right on track.  She now weighs 9 pounds 6.5 oz. and is 21 inches long.  Everything looks just perfect according to the Dr. and she had to get all of her 2 month shots.  Poor baby must have known what was coming because she started screaming before they even came in the room with the shots.  They gave her the oral one first and she was just peachy with that one (we all know how much she loves anything in her mouth—especially to drink!), and then came that first prick.  UGH!! She instantly started screaming and made one big sound and then held her breath.  I was freaking out since she was turning red and purple and not making any sounds…she was not a happy camper!  The next 2 pricks I am sure she did not even feel since she was in such shock.  I quickly picked her up and loved on her (through my own tears—I hate seeing her hurt!).  She settled down pretty quickly and I got her loaded up.  She fell asleep on the way home and slept for a few minutes when we got home.  I held her for a little while and gave her some more TLC and then fed her.  She fell asleep again until we woke her up to bathe and feed her again.  She then crashed and slept through the night.  She did not seem to have any adverse effects, other than being tired.  She did great and even continued to smile at us the little time she was awake.  Such a little trooper!

Here is a little info. About our 2 month old:

Just moved up to size 1 diapers—she still fits in newborns fine, I just thought if we went up we might not have so many blow-outs (we shall see)

Still just a breast baby—we did have to do a few formula bottles this past week (but I think we figured out my problem and will be back on track with breast milk)—don’t like formula—poor baby’s tummy has not been right with these few formula bottles.

Loving life and everything about it—a happy baby!

We had family pics. taken this weekend and since they were on her 2 month birthday, they will be her 2 month pics….but for now I have this 2 month picture—my printer is out of ink so a handmade sign it is…

I am sooo glad it is a short week and then I get 5 whole days with the little turkey!  I can't wait! :)
