Christmas #1

Well actually it was Christmas #2 because the first family Christmas celebration was on November 23 which was the same day as B's 1st birthday party (which means we had to miss it).

This was the Sablatura Sisters Christmas which is always a lot of fun.  This year was Aunt Jane's turn and it was held in Darrin & Shelley's barn.  It was incredibly cold but we stayed warm and the girls had a great time playing with their cousins.

P thought Daddy's flashlight from his Chinese Christmas gift was a microphone and she provided some entertainment..

AND then Santa arrived....Paislyn and Santa had been cool in the previous 2 meetings this Christmas season.  This time not so much...she latched onto my mom and cried and cried and refused to sit on his lap and basically was terrified for the next week.  Up until this time she happily waited in line and when it was their time she went to him, sat on his lap, and even "cheesed" for me.  I think this time he came in the door ringing big bells and everyone started shouting "santa", "santa's here" etc. and all of that excitement did her in.  She talked about him the whole week, even waking up in the middle of the night crying about Santa.  It was a rough week of reassuring her and convincing her he would not "get" her and that he was nice.
