Memaw

I feel like ever since I went back to work we just can’t seem to catch a break.  Besides crazy sicknesses going around all of us (making for 2 unhappy little babes that didn’t seem to want or need to sleep—OMG!), my sweet Memaw passed away last week.  I grew up a mile down the road from her and was very close to her and Papaw all through my childhood and still visited Memaw taking my girls to see her as well.  I am so glad I took this picture of Memaw and the girls at Christmas.  She actually asked me for this picture when I took them to visit her on her birthday in January.  I got them developed for her and was going to take it to her on Monday, Feb. 11.  I didn’t get to take it because she was put in the hospital that day, but we all went to see her in the hospital on Valentine’s day and she was soooo happy that we brought the girls to see her.  My parents got there earlier than we did and she told my dad she was disappointed because she expected him to come in holding Paislyn.  We showed up later and she was laughing and joyous that they were there saying, “ooh you brought my babies!”….those was the last words/joyous sounds I heard from her and I am so glad we had that opportunity.

I am so glad she is now in Heaven reunited with Papaw and in no more pain!  I am also thankful that I was able to grow up so close to my grandparents and that I maintained that relationship even as I got older, married, and had 2 of her great grand daughters.  She was a FABULOUS grandma and will be missed always!  We love you Memaw!
