7 1/2 Months Baked & Already Taking Control...

Just a little update….
I have always been aware of how much a baby will change your life (NO-I have not been there before but I am in touch with reality and read a lot, etc…) and this little one is changing things and already in control of our lives…not like we would want it any other way since we are 10 weeks away from having our precious little one arrive..but here are just a few ways things are changing that I wanted to document for the future.
Those little kicks, jabs, punches, etc. I blogged about a couple of weeks ago that had gotten increasingly stronger have now turned into kick-boxing and river dancing in my belly most of the day….my belly jumps from one side to the other, little baby body parts protrude in funny places.  They hurt as they come on so fast and powerful, but I enjoy every minute of watching and feeling them….reminds me over and over that an active baby=a healthy baby!
The little one also does not like me to lay down…the minute I lay down…the kick-boxing starts and does not stop for a LONG while! J
He or she is also already preparing me for night-time feedings.  I get up to go to the bathroom almost exactly every 2 hours EVERY night!  I guess it is good to get me on that routine already…

A big congrats to my cousin Dusty and her husband Bert…they had a handsome little boy, Brody, on Wednesday…can’t wait until they get home and we get to meet him.  They also did not find out what they were having…but most of our family was convinced she was having a girl and I was having a boy, so I wonder what this means???  Either way we will both be happy and our babies will grow up being able to play with each other.
I also have 2 other cousins having babies soon…Nathan has 1 cousin pregnant and I have several friends pregnant too….I am glad our baby will have friends and family the same age to grow up with...it will be fun.  I did have a talk with N the other day informing him already (WAY ahead of time) that this next year or two A LOT Of our weekends will be spent at 1st B-day parties since there are soo many babies being born now. J
Tomorrow we will spend our whole Saturday at the hospital in Houston for our childbirth class….and let me tell you how excited my husband is!!! J  He usually just goes with the flow with stuff like this but man has he been grumbling about this…I had told him about it back in May when I got us registered…going over dates, etc. with him (because the Dr. wanted us to do it in our 7th month)…then last weekend someone asked him what we were doing this weekend (one of his male cousins) (as it is our ANNIVERSARY!!) and he looked at me and I said we had childbirth class…you should have seen the look on his face. Then he asked me about it on the way home and I told him it was from 9-5 and he about flipped.  I had to remind him I even signed us up for the fast-track class which was only 1 day.  He asked where we were going to go for lunch…another bummer for him when I told him the paper says to bring lunch from home or eat in café downstairs since we are doing the “fast track” class we only have 30 minutes for lunch.  HE WILL SURVIVE!!!
But since Monday is our anniversary, we will be going for a nice supper and maybe a movie while we are in Houston.
I will be sure to post next week about how our class went and I will be 30 WEEKS ALONG!! YAY!
