He is still learning....:)

We have had a busy week and a FABULOUS birthday weekend/baby-moon!  We had been planning a birthday get-a-way for several months now (both of our birthdays are in the same week) and then found out we were having a baby a while back.  I told Nathan we should just push it all back and go somewhere in the summer…he said I will be big-pregnant and hot and not want to do anything, so we just decided to go on our birthday weekend and make it our baby-moon too!  J

More on our amazing weekend later…I just have a few minutes and want to share a funny story. J

Nathan is so sweet…I am showing now and quickly busting out of my clothes (have had the pants unbuttoned for several weeks now, had the rubber band rocking, and even had to resort to safety pinning last week).  Most of my clothes had become tight on me over the last year anyways, so it didn’t take much for me to literally be “busting” out of them.  Well every morning we are going through this and trying to hold the pants up, so when he was asking me what I wanted for my birthday, I just told him I wanted him to take me shopping so I could buy some new (yes, maternityJ) clothes to start growing into.  So, we had designated Sunday of our vacation as a shopping day on the way home to buy my “birthday presents”.

He is a shopper and is always VERY patient as I try on multiple pairs of pants only to come out shaking my head that none of them work. J  Well we go to JCPenney to check out their maternity clothes (not a good selection) and I take 3 pairs of pants into the dressing room.  I come out and he is looking at me shaking his head (like yes or no?) wanting me to answer…I shake my head “no” and proceed to start griping about how my body is just not made for these clothes—I have body issues from my scoliosis and have always had a hard time with clothes fitting the way I want/looking right on me, so now that maternity clothes fit so much different than my regular clothes, it was rather frustrating.  I put those pants up and we find one more for me to try on…I go back in to try those on and come out disappointed again.  I was frustrated and just wanted to go WHEN he walks over and hands me 3 pairs of Capri pants.  He says “here….I found these three that say 18W and you are 17 weeks right now so these should probably fit”.  I quickly snapped out of my disappointed mood and BUSTED out laughing!! JJJJ  I had to stop and explain to him that 18W did not mean “18 WEEKS”  rather it is a size ( a women’s size) and it was larger than the size I wear…OMG! It was hilarious….I can’t stop laughing as I type this now!!!!  He said, “well I didn’t think it made sense to make clothes by the week since you would be a new size next week and we hadn’t seen the sizes like this before”!!!  The women’s section runs into the maternity section in most stores, I always shop in the juniors section, so he has not been around the women’s section before.  It seriously made my day!! He was trying…but like I said…HE IS STILL LEARNING!!! JJ

I hope you can find something to laugh about today!
