I started this post over 2 months ago and have come back to it several times and never got to finish it so here goes...
I cannot believe in just a few days I will have a 2 year old on my hands!! Where oh where does the time go??? Paislyn is VERY verbal and has been for quite some time and I want to remember all of the cute things she says/does so this post is all about her!
Cute things she says:
- She is obsessed with birthdays. Hers should be alot of fun this year now....we have had 3 birthdays recently plus mine and N's and she has not forgot. She is constantly telling us, Aunt Cass, Grams, & Kinley "Happy Birthday". She says it so sweetly too by getting right at your eye level and saying it.
- She likes to call N by his real name. It's funny but we have to correct her and make her call him "Daddy"....then she says "daddy Nathan" like she has more than one daddy...really?!?! :)
- This child loves to pray! We always say her prayers with her when we lay her down for bed and she has started picking up on certain words in the prayers or certain things we pray for each night. She also makes sure we pray when eating and also randomly wants to pray...ie: driving down the road she will say "let's pray" and fold her hands together. She is the prayingest :) little girl I know. We have a great night time routine with her. We take bath, brush teeth, read books, "rocky Paislyn", then lay her in bed and say prayers, then "pattie Paislyn" (pat her back for a minute). Even if she wakes up in the middle of the night (which she has been doing quite frequently here lately) we have to do the whole routine to get her back to sleep (which is frustrating at 2 am). When you lay her back in bed she will say "say prayers".
- She is a spunky little thing and tough as they come! The girl feels no pain! BUT she is a little scaredy cat. She is very cautious and the littles things scare her. She hears a noise and she is running to cling to our leg. Once you reassure her she is usually good to go. She also does not like the dark (poor thing gets it honestly!)
- She is a social butterfly! She waves to everyone and says hi too! In stores she looks like Miss America just waving to all while she stands in the basket.
- She is very well mannered and she usually remembers to use her manners but sometimes she needs to be reminded. (Yes mam, no man, please, thank you, etc.). She says "scooms me" for excuse me and it is hilarious!
- She absolutely ADORES her baby sister. They are BFF's and she is constantly hovering around her and playing with her.
- She is getting very opinionated about what she does and does not want to wear. One day a few weeks ago she went to school wearing a bow AND a headband (which of course did not match) but she insisted and I was tired of fighting with her.
- She loves to give compliments. She is always saying "I like your (necklace, shirt, bracelet, fingernails, hair, ring, etc.) in a sweet little sing song voice to everyone. She is soo sweet!
- She is very independent and loves to sing. If you join in on her singing she will say "stop it" and wait for you to stop before she starts again. Little turkey!
