Soooo…..I have been a terrible blogging mommy and my updates for my babies are seriously lacking! It stays on my to-do list ALL.THE.TIME!! BUT with the craziness that life has brought this fall semester it is the last thing to get done. Our days are terribly busy and my 2 little ones keep the evenings hopping J as well and by the time it is dark all this momma can do is TRY to finish out the days chores before crashing herself!
Why so tired? As if keeping up with 2 little girls wasn’t tiring enough, we have ANOTHER one on the way! Yes, you read that right!!! 3-3 and under!! J Are we crazy? Maybe! Will we be more run down and tired? Absolutely! Will it be worth it? Of course!
I am already actually 26 weeks pregnant. YEP—haven’t blogged in a while!! We got pregnant back in June (P was 2 ½ and B was 20 months) and found out on July 2. Yep—preggo in the summer again! HA! Only this time it was the very beginning of the pregnancy instead of the end. I am due March 10 or 12. Pregnancy has gone great so far. A very typical pregnancy for me. I was extremely tired at first (being home with both girls in the summer and running them and entertaining them kept me wiped out!) and still tired, but no sickness. I kind of lost my appetite and couldn’t eat much right at first (which was kind of new). SO far so good though. All of my check-ups have been great. I have gained 9 pounds. I am measuring right on track for my weeks at each appt. The baby’s heart-rate has stayed pretty consistent around where each of the girls was. I had my glucose test at my last appt. already and will begin going every 2 weeks after my next appt. WOW!!!! I definitely “hurt” a lot more. I feel a lot of pressure and just hurt more in general this time. I wasn’t sure if it is because I am inching closer to 30 (HA!) or because it is my 3rd pregnancy in 3 years. My Dr. confirmed that after you have 2 babies everything hurts a lot more and a lot sooner with each pregnancy after that. I think about Michelle Duggar and wonder how she does it….if baby #3 takes this much of a toll on my body, wow, can’t imagine 5 much less 10, 15, or 19.
I say “the baby” because again we are not finding out the gender. I am such a TYPE A person and so particular about planning everything, etc. but not finding out with both of the girls has been AMAZING! There are no pre-conceptions from others, it makes it fun for all, and I love hearing Nathan tell me what we have after the hard work of labor is done. 26 weeks have FLOWN by (of course I am sure it has much to do with our busy lifestyle lately!).
This poor 3rd baby, although no blog posts for remembrance later, does actually have a FEW pics. On the nights when I remember to get a pic when my week changed. We have discussed where we will put the baby, maternity leave, etc. but when it comes to names we don’t have any! Well, actually I was throwing out about 10 names a week only to have each one of them shot down for one reason or another by my husband! J Lately, with our crazy busy schedules we don’t even have time to talk about our day it seems, much less brainstorm names. Of course, it’s not like we would tell anyone the names anyways, but I at least wish we knew. :) Call me crazy, but I have been a little paranoid that this baby will be coming early. The pregnancy has been picture perfect so I shouldn’t be worried, but we shall see. It could even be the fact that my due date falls exactly 12 weeks before the last day of school so coming any earlier would mean I have to go back to work before the end of the year. Either way, I know God is in control (and he likes to remind me by showing me that) so I am trying not to make “plans” and just take it as it comes.
I definitely feel a lot bigger than I remember feeling before, but again have not taken time to pull up pics. to compare with the girls. And just yesterday when I walked into Paislyn’s classroom after school to pick her up she greeted me by running up to me, touching my belly, and saying “gosh mom the baby is growing!”. So how is that for confirming your feeling of being “big” by a 3 year old!!!!
The girls love the fact that there is a baby in my belly. They are constantly kissing my belly and P always asks questions about it. Like "can she hold the baby?" Yesterday she figured out that we would have 3 car seats in our car when the baby gets here. That is what she talked about the whole way home. They always ask N if he has a baby in his tummy too? LOL! She tells me she has a baby in her tummy and then she tells me when my baby gets big the baby will come out here (and points to her throat)! HA! Not sure where that ever came from but she stays consistent with it and I am good with that for right now! The innocence!
Here are a few belly pics…haven't scanned in any ultrasound pics yet, so these will have to do. :)
I believe this was around 16 weeks
20 week pic...halfway!
This pic. was caught of me at B's birthday party...thanks Cass! 24 weeks
Such an exciting new change to our family. We know it will be exhausting, expensive, and a lot more work, but we are soo excited to be adding another sweet babe to our brood soon! :)
