Can it be?!?! All About B!

Our feisty sweet firecracker Breckyn is one and a half!!!   (She is acutally 19 months old already...I started this for her 18 month birthday and am just now getting to finish it...#mommylife) TEAR! :(  My littlest baby is growing up so fast and is so not a baby anymore!!!  She turned 19 months on June 24, and here is what she is up to these days!

This little thing is as feisty as they come!  She is turning into a real pistol and I am convinced she hit the early stages of the "terrible 2's" this week. YIKES!  She is firey, spunky, adventurous, a dare devil, always on the go, and knows no boundaries, BUT she can also turn into the sweetest most cuddly little ball of mush.  She is the best of both worlds!  Her little mischevious personality is so funny and oh so sweet.

We finally had her 18 month well check last week and little Miss weighs 25 pounds and is 33 inches tall (both were in the 80th percentile)

She is wearing 18 month & a few 24 month pieces.  She has all of her teeth but the 2 year molars per her doctor.  I was shocked to hear this...she had the 8 front teeth FOREVER and then lately started cutting all kinds of teeth and it was confirmed at her well check last week that they are all there.  Woah!

She sleeps all night still and has finally started going down a little easier.   She is spoiled when it comes to the sleep department.  She always had to be rocked (by Mommy) until she was asleep.  Now, we read book, say prayers, rock for a little bit then I lay her down.  I pat her for a minute and then leave.  A few times a week she will start crying after a little while and I will go in there and repeat the process but most nights it works great.  She is still a big time Mommy's girl.  I am the only one she wants to put her to sleep.  In order for N to get away with it we have to spring it on her and I have to be away from the house (where she can't see or hear me before).  She also sleeps with her blankie, minnie mouse, her barking baby (that I am sure to remove before we hit the sack so it doesnt bark during the night :)) and a cup.  Yes, a cup.  Actually a play baby food container.   She will not lay down until her "tup" is in her hand....crazy kid! :)
She dives head first into everything she does...literally!  We cannot even sit on the floor without her running and tackling us or diving over us.  It is a fun game to her and wears us out! :)  She is wild, fearless, and as rough as they come.  She will wait for you to set something down and she is off to snatch it up!  This causes many cat fights between her and P!  She is super strong willed and only wants what she wants most of the time.  We often joke that if God never gives us our little boy, we already have one! LOL!  Even though she is so rough and tough she is such a softie when she wants to be!
You know the word "fearless" I used earlier...yeah it relates to the water too.  This one, I tell you, is giving me grey hairs.  She throws herself face first in the bathtub and comes up thinking it is hilarious.  She will lay down in the water all the way (her sister still won't do this :)).  Her bubble obsession is crazy!  If she remotely thinks  you have a drink, or something is cooking on the stove she is crazily hollering "bubbles, bubbles, bubbles" and has to see them.  This bubble obsession also causes her to lick the bubbles off of her skin as we are bathing her....if you can't tell this child is a handful!  But a super cute handful!! :)

Even though she can be so sweet she has this crazy temper (it comes from her daddy :)).  Church makes me nervous because you are sitting so close to other people and if she gets mad or doesn't like something she will immediately throw it.  UGH!  She will just look at you and throw something....where did she come from?!?! :)
She is the messiest eater there ever was!  At 19 months old she should have the eating thing under control, but no!  If she does not want or like something she lets you know it.  She wants it off of her plate.  I make it stay there but she will dump her plate out or pick every little piece of it up and place on the table.  She makes a mess out of everything and will spit out something if it is not what she wanted.  She still puts everything in her mouth.  Paislyn loves doing art activities and it is so hard because B will just eat the markers, crayons, paint, glue, whatever we have.

Everything has become a struggle with her now (hence the beginning of the terrible 2's).  She absolutely wears me out getting her in the carseat (I'm talking patience gone, sweating, all out struggles).  She fights it horribly (and it has just started), refuses to get in, screams, etc.  Sometimes I have to just stop and let her be before I lose it :) so I will go around and buckle P and then come back for her.  When I go around to the other side she will climb into the front seat and be as happy as can be.  When I attempt to get her from the front she climbs back to the back.  It is a game to her...it is soo not to me! UGH!

She loves to brush her teeth but does not want us to do it.  It usually takes both of us to do it and several minutes of fighting it.

She is so much better about using her manners at this age than P was.  She almost always says please and thank you when she wants something or when she gets it.  If she burps or toots she says excuse me.  If someone else does it, she laughs and then makes sure to say "excuse me" for them. :)  She says bless you if you sneeze and is oh so sweet doing so.
She loves all fruit still and her rice milk.  She is pretty picky most days and meals, however she loves "nack" (snack).  She will do anything for a snack.  She loves babies!  Both play and real.  If there is a stroller anywhere to be seen you better hold her tight or she will be off to talk to the baby.  She is really good with babies...will pat them softly, give sweet kisses, etc.

Her vocabulary is growing daily. She will repeat everything you say!  She knows TONS of words and for the most part we can understand all she wants and needs.  She understands everything we say or tell her to do.  She has just started stringing words together to make 2-3 word sentences.
We had her 6 month allergist appt. last week after her well check.  Unfortunately we had to endure skin testing this time again.  It. Was. AWFUL.  I am so glad N was able to join us over there at the last minute because I do not think I could have handled her by myself.  That strong-willed, temper business I talked about earlier was in full force with those 10 pricks and I don't blame her one bit but OH MY!  It was tough stuff pinning her down for 15 minutes so she wouldn't touch her back.  :(  We made it through and we out-grew the peanut and mollusk (oyster) allergy, but NOT the dairy!! Bummer!  This is the one that is the toughest that I wish would be gone.  We were given instructions for introducing "baked milk" into her daily diet to try and de-sensitize the proteins.  Hopefully we will get there one day!

Happy 18 (& 19) month baby girl!  We love your sweet and spunky self and all the craziness you bring to our daily life! :):)

Always on the go...

She even sleeps crazy! :)

HOT.MESS.

Loving on baby Elaine!

She has her baby's paci in her mouth.

For her 18 month birthday we turned her car-seat around to be forward facing.  She likes being able to see like sister now.

She had her first snow-cone as a last day of school treat! :)

Her first "real" all the hair up pony-tail.

Check out that sheepish-up-to-something grin.

She decided to be a plumber for the moment. :)

Here we are putting on a full on temper tantrum!

AND rocking her play high heels!

Messy Much?!?!
