We had a fabulous spring break! It was a much needed break with my girls...we made a lot of memories, had a lot of "firsts", got very little rest, & enjoyed our time together!
Sunday started out with a play date with Miss Taryn. The girls had a fun time playing.
My little pig-tail princess!
Dancing in their tutus.
That night when N and I were headed to bed P began this horrible cough. It was so bad we got her up and tried many things to help her (and almost made an ER visit)....a little later B was up with the same thing. We were all up until 3 am and headed to Sugar Land to the Dr. on our first day off. It ended up being Croup X 2. :( They were doing much better on Monday afternoon though.
On Tuesday, we headed back in to Sugar Land for a Family fun day!!! First up was dentist appts. This was Paislyn's 2nd visit and Breckyn's 1st. P did fabulous! She sat still and let them do everything. She was sad she didn't get to brush the fishy, though. B, on the other hand, did as I expected. She freaked a little , but overall did well. Both girls got a fabulous report and lots of goodies as they left.
After dentist appts, we headed over to Stomping Grounds to let them play. P, again loved it and took off playing. This was B's first time where she was actually old enough to play. She took it a little slow but ended up having fun. We got there just at opening and it was perfect and no one there. :)
After playing for a little over an hour, N dropped P and I off at the mall and we headed to Build-a-Bear. I thought this would be a fun mommy/daughter date to reward her for being completely potty trained. She was a little overwhelmed but had fun and picked out a puppy.
Next, we headed to eat lunch and then to get P's first hair-cut! TEAR!! :( I debated a while before making the decision. She had no reason to get it cut....it grew in even and we had no issues with it. I totally did not want to lose all her little baby curls and that was my biggest issue. I hoped though that by cutting it it would thicken up a little. We bit the bullet and she did PERFECT! The girl understood my concerns and BARELY took any hair off...the bare minimum...even barely enough to scoop up and keep in her baby book. LOL! She even sprayed some sparkles in it for her (while Daddy was off chasing B) :). She was so proud of it.
Stomping Grounds fun!
P's first hair-cut
She got a necklace for doing so good.
The first time they were able to ride in the germ-infested 2 seater--it didn't help any...B still screamed and wanted out. :(
At the dentist....
Build-a-bear fun....
Putting in the heart.
Combing and brushing her puppy's teeth.
Creating the birth certificate.
Meet Princess....her new puppy.
B's first time eating a popsicle....
On Wednesday, we headed over to Grams work to visit a while. Then we went to Toddler Time at the library. We hadn't been since this summer and Paislyn picked right back up and loved it. Breckyn, eehhh, in typical Breckyn fashion she just wanted to climb and run. :)
After that, I dropped B off at the sitter's. This was her first time to be there without her sister. It was only for lunch and nap, though, so she did fine. Paislyn and I were off for a little mommy-daughter time. I took Paislyn for a quick lunch at Whataburger and then headed to the movies. She saw her first movie, Frozen. She was not heavy enough for the seat to stay down so I got to hold her and have some snuggle time. :) About half-way through she was ready to go, so I whipped out a snack, we took a potty break, and were able to make it to the end. She then ran a few errands with me and we headed to get sister. We had a fun day.
Mardi Gras beads at Grams work.
Big girl at her first movie.
We enjoyed our 1-on-1 time. Can't wait to do the same with B next year.
Thursday was a low key day.
Friday we headed out to visit all of mine and N's grand-parents (the girls greats).
The girls rocking and playing with some dolls that were mine when I was little at my grand-parents.
Heading out to see and water the donkeys with Great Grandma Drapela.
We ate lunch with daddy and headed home. P and I hung out in the car for a while since B was asleep...she enjoyed a snack in the car. :) She thought she was big stuff.
Saturday we headed to the TGWA fishing tournament. We participated in the walk that morning and then the girls played while daddy, chris, cass, grams, & grumps, along with many other family members, worked it. The girls played and ran and had a blast.
Having fun with friends.
Daddy captured a few shots of us coming in the finish line. :)
Overall, we had a FANTASTIC spring break. So many memories were made and so many firsts were had. We enjoyed every minute and had a sweet taste of summer-time. I.can't.wait. !!!!
