The Drapela Family: Mid Month update

Our Sweet baby is growing by leaps and bounds and as her big birthday is quickly approaching it seems like she is just constantly amazing us and doing new things so fast. These are some things I wanted to document right now.

She totally gets the "wave" and uses it all.the.time. It is soo adorable especially when she does it the wrong way and is waving at herself and watching her hand. :)

We. Are. Walking! ALOT! She took off and can do it for real....she still does choose to crawl (it is definitly her faster mode of transportation) but knows how and can walk soo good. I am loving it!

She has just now started picking up little things from the ground and trying to put them in her mouth...ugh! yuck!

She is very impatient when it comes to her food (and if you know my husband you know exactly where she gets this from!). :)

She throws her sippy cup as soon as she is finished taking a drink and this just burns me up. UGH! We are praciticing setting it down or just waiting for mommy to come get it but we haven't got it down just yet...lol!

We have a TOP tooth! She has had 4 on the bottom but now we got a top one finally making our total of 5 teeth! So cute! :)

She is still such a GOOD baby. Nathan comments often how lucky we have been with her and how we are not sure if we will be so lucky again...haha! Either we will have another baby that is just as good as her or the total opposite--oh boy!

When we go places people comment on how good and sweet she it. Usually ppl ask if she EVER cries? haha....her teachers even told me today how good she is...that she is just content and such a good baby.

Speaking of school...she has gone back for 4 days now (a couple of hours each day). That first day was TOUGH! Mommy was crying before I even dropped her off. I only worked 2 hours in my room and rushed back up there to get her and take her home. It felt like the first time I left her all over again--except this time she knows more of what was going on and that made it even worse. Still when we walk in the door she lays her head down on my shoulder and when it comes time to hand her off, she is clinging/pulling on my shirt and cyring and reaching for me as soon as they get her. It still is not easier but it has to be done and I am hoping once we are back on the full time routine she will adjust better and all will be okay.

Yesterday she had her blood work done for the anemia & lead screening they do at this age. Poor baby! :( Glad daddy was with us to have to hold her down....she also had her follow up hearing test and Dr. visit from her tubes. She aced her hearing test & the Dr. said everything is looking perfect and just like it should with the tubes! YAY!! Finally good news for this little babe! :)

Birthday party planning is DONE! YAY! I wanted it done before I go back to work and I met my goal..yay! Everything is done, bought, made, planned, in the mail, etc....we just have our portrait session appt. set up and then wait until the actual day (and day before) to get all the food bought and prepared and get it all set up for the princess. Soooo hard to believe the day is already so near but so is life.

She is at such a "fun" stage right now. She really "gets" things and it's getting to be so much fun to play with. The things she does cracks us up....she is really "Monkey see, Monkey do" already too. If she sees us doing something it never fails that she is going to try to touch it or do it too...(and usually it is something she shouldn't be touching/doing). HA!

She LOVES "driving" the car....and it never fails she turns on the blinkers, windshield wipers, etc....

Pulling out all the recipe books to help mom decide what to cook for supper!:)

Dumping out the paper to be recycled while I organized the office....hey whatever works...it was the only way I was going to get any work done. :)

This little turkey refuses to eat her toast or biscuits in the morning if I cut them up...she only lets me cut them in strips and then she bites and chews from there....ooohhh boy....can you say strong willed?!?!? :)
