Ooooh so close...

Unfortunately we were not able to head out to our usual places for the long holiday weekend.  With me being due in less than 2 short weeks we figured it best to stay close to home just in case.  Also, my feet, legs, and hands swell horribly after sitting for too long so the long drive would have been too miserable. 

I had my weekly appt. Friday and things are still looking good.  While I have made no more progress in the dilation area (still ½ cm-bummer) I am having contractions.  I am not feeling them, but my doctor was able to see them on the monitors.  On Wednesday I had an impromptu trip to the doctor for a Pre-natal Fetal Stress Test—thankfully everything came out great and they asked me if I was feeling all those contractions I was having and I was not. No weight gain this week! Woohoo!  Also, my Group B Strep Test results from last week were in and NEGATIVE—YAY! No special medication during labor for that!

We did take the Labor & Delivery bag with us, but our little one seems just content to hang out in Mommy’s tummy for a little while longer so we did not need it.  Can you blame the little one?? Come on with these 100+ degree days of heat (that I have been hugely pregnant in) I think I would stay curled up somewhere nice and cozy too…J

We were able to make a quick trip to deer camp for my dad’s birthday Saturday but came home in the evening as it was so hot.

Early Sunday morning we completed our Baptism class.  I think that was the last thing on my baby-to-do list that could be done prior to the baby.  Everything else has to happen after the baby once we know the gender and can share the name! J

We took advantage of the long weekend by completely cleaning the house again.  N thought it was ridiculous since we just did it, but I told him as long as this baby is still cooking we will be doing major cleaning every weekend to have the house as clean and dust free as possible.

I will leave you with a 38 week picture.  Now this is a picture of a different sort.  My sister thought it would be fun to take pics. on her phone without me realizing it (and of different angles that I normally don’t get to see)…so here we are in all of our 38 week glory!
